Dig this….the Navan Centre is reopening!

Armagh City and District Council are delighted to announce the permanent opening of the Navan Centre from 1st July 2009.  The history of Navan is very diverse and the centre and tour tells beautifully the history and archaeology of the area, the legends of the Ulster Cycle and the story of the Celts. The centre is suitable for all levels of interest and makes an idea outing for you families giving children the chance to experience hands on history with dressing up in Celtic costumes before going to meet the Celts in their unusual home.  Get the chance to ‘dig’ archaeology, as children can delve into our archeo-pit to uncover some amazing artifacts like flint, ceramics, tools, even bones and teeth!  For a full brochure on Navan please click here.
